About

Neverland is a demo of an open-world, adventure, 3D platformer that allows the player to take on the role of the newest recruit of the Lost Boy Gang in the world of Neverland. The player is able to roam around certain sections of the island to discover a variety of enemy types and gameplay sections, such as a shooting gallery minigame, and even interact with familiar characters, such as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.


Development COntribution

  • Gameplay Programming - Developed the combat system, the movement system, cinematic sequences, dialogue interactions with characters, shooting gallery minigame, and scripted events to trigger scenarios throughout the level.

  • UI Programming - Developed the UI system for the main menu and pause menu.

Design COntribution

  • Level Design - Helped design the starting area to allow players to understand the game mechanics and rules established.

  • Gameplay Design - Helped with refining mechanics, such as the pixie dust and arrow system, established by the other game designer, Michael Bruner.

  • Narrative Design - Helped with the design process for iterating the overall prologue sequence and events to figure out how to give the player the feeling of playing a demo to a much larger game.
