About

For this first-person, arena-based shooter, Velox is a unique shooter that focuses character movement as a vital mechanic of the game. Players must move fast and steady in order to increase the damage of their weapon, which will deplete if the player stops at any given time. The game can support up to 8 players online in a free-for-all game mode.


Design COntribution

  • Gameplay Design - Helped design the overall mechanics with Ryan Tansey to bring the game’s main focus of fast-paced movements, while challenging players to create new strategies in this environment.

Art COntribution

  • Modeling/Texturing - Modeled and textured half of the environment assets with Maya and Substance Painter.

  • UI - Created the HUD using Adobe Illustrator.

  • Concept - Created a few visual concepts for environment assets and early iterations of the weapon using Adobe Illustrator.
